What are we doing?

Commissioner Juanita N. Holmes is thrilled to announce The Department will be celebrating Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision (PPPS) Week with NYC Probation Week 2023, July 17-21.

As part of the celebration, we are calling on all staff to participate in the creation of a NYC Probation Week 2023 Video: It is time to be creative and encourage your colleagues to create iconic moments.

History:
For the past 50 years, Hip-Hop has solidified its position in the United States and internationally as a multibillion-dollar music industry and a dynamic and evolving movement for change that gives a voice to the people. And as the hip-hop community celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and NYC city is the center of where it all began, we acknowledge one of our former probation clients Jay-Z, for his transformation with our rendition of the inspirational NYC anthem Empire State of Mind featuring Alicia Keys.
